A case of primary retroperitoneal ganglioneuroblastoma which metastasizes to both lungs presented and brief review of literature was made. The patient, 22 years old male, complained intermittent dull abdominal pain and two large palpable masses in the lower abdomen.
Routine chest Xray revealed multiple coin lesons on both lung fields, 3×2.5cm on right lower lung field, 3×3cm, 1×1cm, on left lung.
After various diagnostic measures including Upper G-I series, small bowel series and Barium enema, we suspected the masses to be retropetoneal tumors and exploratory laparatory and gross total removal of the tumors was done.
Grossly, two graysh-white well encasulated solid masses measuring 12×10×7cm in mid lower rectroperitoneum, 7×5×3cm in left lower retroperitoneum.
Microscopic finding was ganglioneuroblastoma which was composed of immature, mature ganglion cells and primitive neural cells.
